The Swarovski Lighting property includes two brands. The first, Schonbek Brand, was established in 1870. Schonbek is known for its handcrafted crystal chandeliers of the finest heirloom quality. Its unique, made to order designs serve a small and exclusive market niche.
Swarovski purchased Schonbek in 1960. Soon after, they added their own Swarovski lighting products to the family. Swarovski’s crystal chandeliers bring the luxury of crystal lighting to a wider market. They serve many business sectors and home lighting retailers around the world.

Swarovski Lighting didn’t want a typical eCommerce site. They wanted a business-to-business site with the potential for future eCommerce functionality. They needed an up-to-date platform that would allow many people to collaborate at once. Because they serve markets around the world, Magento 2 was a perfect fit.
Gauge developed a new Swarovski Lighting site on the brand new Magento 2 platform. We created a mobile-friendly design and built a location switcher. This feature displays unique content, product families, and more based on which location the user chooses. They currently serve three markets: North America, China, and International. Each storefront aligns products, store locations, and editorial content with brand data.
Their new site also integrates with their email marketing platform. Today, their team can easily segment their marketing database and create email campaigns tailored to the customer. Most importantly, they can use one manageable product catalog across several storefronts.
The site we created for Swarovski Lighting gives them all the functionality and flexibility they need, for today and tomorrow. They can easily scale by adding more storefronts as they grow. Customers can also see products and use the store locator feature to find a local retailer.
